How to Play Caribbean Stud Poker:

This is one of the more fashionable variations of playing poker whether it be online or at one of the many poker rooms that litter the cities. The best way to play this game is when all players play against a dealer and not each other, and this is naturally the way that all online games proceed. In other words, you get to enjoy the better version of the game when you play it online!

Game Procedure:

  1. Place an initial bet (ante).
  2. All players receive five cards, but while the card that the dealer receives if places facing up, the rest of the cards are placed on the table facing downwards. Each player, at this point, has to look at his cards (without allowing others to see them) and decide whether they like their cards and are willing to bet with them. They can decide to leave, but this means that they will have to leave the money they had placed on the table. Remaining in the game allows the players a chance to add to the bet and raise it according to how much they would like.
  3. This is the time in the game when you have a chance to win very easily! The dealer must have a minimum combination of an ace and king or else you win and you get as much as you have placed as the ante. If the cards of the dealer do agree with this rule, then all the cards of all the players are matched against that of the dealer. The highest hand wins, but remember that each hand is matched against the dealer so you do not have to beat everyone just the dealer.

Additional Caribbean Stud Rules:

  • You have to keep the identity of your cards secret or else the dealer wins.
  • Only you and the dealer can touch the cards while they are on the table.
  • You can look at your cards only until you make a choice whether to stay in the game or drop out. If you have stayed in the game, you cannot look at your cards anymore.
  • If by chance or accident one of the cards placed face-down flip over, the round is stopped and a new one begins.
