Basic Rule Roulette rules aren't very complicated but you have to learn them before you start betting. The basic rule of the roulette is to bet on a specific number or a combination of numbers and to wait for the ball to land on one of the numbers on the wheel. If the ball has landed on the number that you placed your bet on, you'll win the chips (the money).
There are usually up to 8 players in a common roulette table and they all play against one the house, represented by the croupier/dealer. The croupier spins the wheel and handles the payouts and the wagers.
The Chips Each player receive chips in different colors (although, some
casinos today have chips with the same colors) in order to differ between his chips and other players chips. It's important to remember that those chips aren't the same as the regular casino chips and they apply only to the casino table, so after you finish your game, don't forget to replace them with regular chips.
The Wheel There are two standard wheels that are used in the casinos. The European roulette wheel has 37
slots (36 numbers and one zero) and the American wheel has 38 slots (36 numbers and two zeros). Many players prefer the European version and you can sometimes find European wheels in American casinos.
The Game Before the dealer spins the wheel, you have the chance to place your bets. Put your chips on the table spot according to the number that you think that will win. Then the dealer will spin the wheel and you can still bet until he will announce "no more bets", only then you must stop your bets and wait for the ball to stop.
After the ball stops on a specific slot, the dealer places the dolly on the winning number and the winner receives the chips. While the dealer pays the winners it's time to place the new bets for a new round of betting.
